Building Department Process
The City of Deer Park contracts with Gerry Stoker to be the City’s Certified
Building Official for the building permit process, both residential and commercial.
He has fixed hours at the Deer Park City Building on Thursdays ( 9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
and flexible (by appointment) hours on the other weekdays.
Note: The fee schedule is adopted from the Hamilton County Building
Department. Please note, an additional state fee will be added to the listed fees
(1% for residential applications, and 3% for commercial applications).
(Eff Feb 2021: credit card transaction fee of 3% assessed on credit card payments.)
You may download the building and zoning permit application (and fee schedule)
off this website; or contact the Deer Park City Office to have it faxed or mailed to
you. It needs to be completed and submitted to the Deer Park City Office for
processing & approval prior to commencement of work. We request 2 sets of
drawings for residential plan review; and 3 sets for commercial plan review.
Review typically takes 3 to 5 business days.
RE: ELECTRICAL WORK: code questions, review, permits, and inspections for
electrical work is through the Inspection Bureau Inc. (IBI) of Hamilton County.
The IBI contact number is 513-381-6080.
For plumbing permits, please contact the Hamilton County Plumbing Division (513-946-
7800).
