Mandatory insurance

All rates include compulsory insurance for collision & theft

with an excess. A deposit would be needed as a guarantee

In case of accident or damage to the vehicle, the customer

will be charged up to the amount of the excess. If the

vehicle is stolen, the customer will be charged up to the

amount of the theft excess indicated in the previous table.

Also, if the vehicle is involved in an accident during the

rental period, an administrative charge of € 50 will apply.

The Smart cover includes

Customers will be offered an additional cover (SMART

cover) to waiver the excess. Prices as follows:

In Italy, if customers purchased our SMART cover, theft

excess is eliminated except when traveling to Campania,

where the excess is reduced to the amounts shown in the

table below:

If the customer does not buy the Smart cover, we will block

€ 900 - € 2,100 (depending on the car group and office)

from customer´s credit or debit card as a guarantee to

cover the excess and any potential damage. This block on

customer´s card will be refunded at the end of the rental

within a period of approximately 10 days. In the event of

an accident the customer will be charged the amount for

the damages caused, this is decided by Centauro Rent a

Car. The maximum amount charged will be the equivalent

of the excess.

The Mandatory Insurance and the Smart cover will be valid

for all our offices under the following conditions:

In the event of collision or damage to the vehicle, within

the next 48 hours the customer must provide Centauro

Rent a Car (whenever possible) a completed accident report

(provided inside every vehicle) with full details of the third

party and/or a police report, filed complaint or description

of the events.

When driving to a different country, the Smart Pack is not

valid in case of accident/damage or theft of the vehicle

without the purchase of the obligatory Cross Border road

assistance cover.

Vehicle Check In & Check Out.:

The delivery of the vehicle and its subsequent return will

occur after our staff have made a full check, where any

damages will be noted on the contract. If required, the

customer can request a vehicle inspection with a member

of staff.

What is not included by any cover

• Loss of child seats

• Loss/Damage/Theft of keys, aerials, jack, safety

triangles and vests, windscreen wipers, petrol cap,

luggage covers, or any other fixed or mobile

component of the vehicle, as well as the use of fire

extinguishers or first aid kits other than in case of

an accident with the vehicle.

• Damage to the engine through negligence.

• Theft of the vehicle with keys left in the ignition.

• Fines for traffic offences or violations of the law

during the rental period are the responsibility of the

driver of the vehicle. In addition, in the event of

receiving a fine, and for each fine notified, the

amount of €40 will be charged as a penalty for fines

in Spain, Portugal and Greece and €50 in Italy.

• Refueling with the wrong type of petrol.

• Loss/Damage/Theft of personal belongings.

• Toll usage by the customer, as well as any amount

derived from them (surcharges, etc.). In addition,

the customer must pay a fee of 40€ administration

handling fee for each contract.

Rental Period

The rental dates are calculated in 24-hour periods. This is

counted from the exact time the vehicle is reserved

until the time the vehicle is returned with the key and

relevant documents to Centauro Rent a Car. All

reservations have a maximum of 29 days. Extensions are

not permitted. Flight number is mandatory for all airport

offices. There will be no refund for early return or unused

days.

Failure to return the vehicle on the date and time set out in

the Contract authorizes Centauro Rent a Car to charge

customers for any additional days the vehicle is used after it

should have been returned plus a 50€ penalty per day.

•

Cancelling or changing your booking

In order to modify any detail of customer´s reservation, you

will need to make a new booking with your new

requirements. Please check the availability first before

cancelling.

•

No Shows

Centauro Rent a Car will only hold the car for a maximum of

12 hours, as long as they correspond to the relevant office

opening hours and when previously notified of any delay

for whatever reason.

Guaranteed vehicle group

When you book with Centauro Rent a Car, we guarantee

the vehicle group requested not the brand or model shown.

If the vehicle group requested is not available, Centauro

Rent a Car will provide you with a vehicle belonging to a

higher category group for the same price.

In case of Delay

Delayed flights:

If you have a confirmed reservation before 23.00 and

customer´s flight is delayed, then the customer must call

the corresponding Centauro Rent a Car airport office so

that we can ensure your pick up and for the office to

remain open. This will have a cost of 40€. This service is

available until 01.00 in Alicante-Málaga-Seville-Valencia-

Murcia-Mallorca-Ibiza-Madrid-Barcelona-Santiago de

Compostela-Bilbao-Faro-Porto-Lisbon-Madeira-Rome

Fiumicino-Rome Ciampino-Milan Malpensa-Bergamo-

Catania-Palermo-Olbia-Cagliari-Pisa-Bolgna-Athens-

Thessaloniki-Heraklion-Chania-Corfu-Santorini-Rhodes-

Kefalonia.

At all Centauro Rent a Car locations if the customer is

arriving on a flight, it is imperative that we have the correct

flight number or we will not be held responsible for non-

collection at the airport.

Delayed trains:

If you have a confirmed reservation before 23.00 and your

customer´s train is delayed, then you must call the

corresponding Centauro Rent a Car office so that we can

ensure your pick up and for the office to remain open. This

will have a cost of 40€. This service is available until 01.00

at Seville Santa Justa, Malaga Maria Zambrano, Valencia

Joaquin Sorolla, Alicante Train Station, Madrid Atocha /

Chamartín, Barcelona Sants, Bilbao Abando Indalecio Prieto

& Santiago de Compostela Train Station.

Centauro Rent a Car will only hold the car for a maximum of

Parking

If the car is left outside of the Centauro Rent a Car

installations on drop off, customers will be responsible for

any costs generated and for any damage to the vehicle due

to it being parked outside of the Centauro Rent a Car

installations.

Child seats

Child seats as well as boosters are manufactured according

to European safety standards and are available on request.

For child’s safety, it is obligatory for children up to 12 years

of age or with a height up to 135cms to use an approved

safety device corresponding to the height and weight of the

child and that this must be placed on the back seat of the

car. Please note that whilst we can supply child seats, we

cannot fit them for you. This is always your responsibility.

In Italy, the use of an ‘Anti-Abandonment’ child car seat

alarm is obligatory. Our child seats will be provided with

this device, so please remember that as well as the fitting

of the child seat, the use of the alarm is also your

responsibility.

In Italy, snow chains will be provided free of charge. Only

some car group models will have winter tyres.

Via Verde transponder device

When driving in Portugal, many roads have an electronic

toll collection system. The non-payment of said tolls is

classed as a traffic violation, provided for and sanctioned as

an administrative offence, under the terms of Law No

25/2006 of 30 June.Under the terms of current legislation,

all vehicles rented by Centauro are equipped with a device

that has an automatic toll payment system and is

commonly known as the Via Verde transponder device,

which cannot be removed from the vehicle or in any way

replaced by the Client.

When renting a vehicle with Centauro, and in accordance

with current legislation, the client automatically subscribes

to the automatic payment system which allows for the

identification of the vehicle and the automatic payment of

any toll fees and administrative charges incurred by

Centauro (€2.07 per day, up to a maximum of €20.81 per

month and per rental contract).This way you can enjoy your

trip in Portugal, hassle-free.

A charge of € 100 will be made from the debit or credit card

as a deposit for the payment of toll fees and the respective

administrative expenses incurred that, for any reason,

cannot be charged to the credit or debit card given in

accordance with the above. The deposit amount charged to

your credit card will be refunded at the end of the rental

and within a period of approximately 10 (ten) calendar

days.In case of damage, loss or theft of the Via Verde

device, or if it is removed from the rental vehicle or

replaced in any way, a fee of €25 will be charged.

If, for any reason, the car's passing through the electronic

toll booths is not registered by the on-board equipment

installed in the vehicle, Centauro will proceed to identify

the driver of the vehicle after receiving the notification

from the competent authorities, being the Client

responsible for the payment of the respective tolls and/or

any expense related to any collection procedure or

administrative infraction related to the non-payment of toll

fees.

Roadside assistance

Our prices also include roadside assistance 24/7. Any

towing costs incurred are not included (possible charges

will be made) though we do provide, at no additional cost,

a replacement car if necessary. In Portugal, towing costs are

included in the price, except in cases of negligence of the

customer or any driver (among others, loss/damage of

keys, refueling errors, missing fuel, damage to tyres,

battery damage, etc.).

Conditions relating to petrol

Applicable to Centauro Rent a Car offices:

Full Empty with partial refund option:

This is a fast and easy service where Centauro Rent a Car

will hand over the vehicle with the tank full or partially full

of fuel and the customer has no need to use all the fuel or

top up the tank. Just use the fuel needed, there is no need

to look for a close by petrol station. Just leave the car with

the tank as empty as you wish and save time, as we do not

have to check the fuel level.

• This system includes the return of a sum equivalent

to the amount of fuel not consumed, except for a

fee of 25€ (twenty-five euros), which is the charge

applicable for refuelling the vehicle.

• The value of the fuel varies depending on the

capacity of the fuel tank of the vehicle. The

customer will be informed of the exact amount

when picking up the vehicle, since the fuel price

changes according to the official market rate.

• Payment for petrol will always be charged on

collection.

• In the event of an upgrade, the customer will be

charged the fuel tank corresponding to the vehicle

that you are given.

Full to Full Option:

When the customer pick the car up, the fuel tank will be full

or partly full. The customer will be charged the cost of the

fuel.

Driving license requirements

All drivers must have been in possession of a full EU-valid

driving license for a minimum of one year. The minimum

age of the driver is 19. For drivers between the ages of 19 &

24 years, the customer can hire the vehicle by including the

additional supplement. If the customer is 75 or over, then it

will be required to select an additional supplement. This is

an obligatory supplement regardless of the type of

insurance contracted.

Only the following are considered valid driving licenses in

Spain/Portugal/Greece/Italy:

• Those issued in accordance with current Spanish,

Portuguese, Greek & Italian legislation.

• Those issued by member states of the European

Union in accordance with community regulations.

• Those issued by other countries or those of an

international nature that are effectively recognized

as valid permissions to drive in

Spain/Portugal/Greece/Italy.

Driving licenses in electronic format will be accepted (only

official applications that are admitted in the country of

collection of the vehicle).

Consequently, the drivers/ customers must be in possession

of a valid driving license approved in the country of hire and

are directly responsible for the validation and approval of

the driving license, exempting Centauro Rent a Car from any

responsibility under any circumstance.

Payment & Guarantee

Payment must be made with Visa / Visa Electron (credit or

debit) or MasterCard (credit or debit) cards.

In Portugal, a charge of € 100 will be made from the credit

or debit card as a deposit to cover possible Via Verde toll

charges, see section 16 for more information. This charge

on your card will be refunded at the end of the rental

within a period of approximately 10 days.

Credit/Debit cards must be nominative. We do not accept

prepaid cards, American Express, Maestro or Diners Club.

At our Athens & Thessaloniki offices, we only accept

payment with a credit card.

For groups S2 -S2A - S3 - S3A, two credit cards will be

required to present at the desk as a guarantee to collect

the vehicle.

Cardholder:

The booking must be made in the main driver’s name, and

all additional drivers must be included in the contract.

Cross Border Cover

For collections in Spain (Mainland): our vehicles can be

taken, as an exception to Portugal/Andorra/France only.

For collections in Portugal (Mainland): vehicles can only be

taken to Spain (Mainland).

From Italy: vehicles can be taken outside of Italy to

France/Monaco/Switzerland/Austria/San Marino only.

Vehicles cannot be taken from Mainland Italy to any

islands.

Vehicles collected at any of our locations cannot be taken

on any ferry to/between/from any islands or countries.

Groups BE, CE, E2C(Electric models) are not permitted to

cross border from any of our offices.

Inter-branch hiring (One ways)

Cost between 25€ and 195€ depending on region. Not

available on groups B2, D2, G2, G3, G4, H, J,I, P1, P2, P3, P4

in all destinations. In Portugal, this service is also not

permitted for groups F6, F7. This service is also not

available between mainland and/or between islands nor

between countries.

Documentation required on collection of the

vehicle

On picking up the vehicle the customer must have passport

or identity card, driving license, credit card and Centauro

Rent a Car booking number.

PICK UP INSTRUCTIONS

SPAIN

Alicante

On arrival at Alicante airport please go the Centauro Rent a Car desk in the Arrivals

Hall. Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park.

Alicante Ave Train Station

Come out of the station using the main front exit (Exit/City Centre) and you will

see the Centauro office across the road on the left-hand side. To reach the office,

use the zebra crossings to your left to cross the main road.

Valencia

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the terminal through the

nearest exit. Turn left and continue walking past the taxi rank for 150m until you

reach the Long-Term Parking P6, where the Centauro Rent a Car Shuttle Bus will be

waiting for you next to the "Meeting Point" sign.

Valencia Joaquin Sorolla

Come out of the station using the main exit and turn left following the building

round. Continue for about 100mts until you see the post office building ‘Correos’.

Cross over the road at the traffic lights and you will find the Centauro Rent a Car

office straight in front of you. Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park.

Murcia

Once you have collected your luggage, exit the Arrival Terminal building and just

opposite, crossing over the road, you will find the Centauro Rent a Car shuttle bus

to take you to our office. Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park and

then you will be taken to the Departure Hall by Shuttle Bus.

Malaga

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the main exit of the terminal

building (direction Train station). Cross the road using the zebra crossing and

continue 100mts until the Train station Renfe Aeropuerto, just behind here you will

find the courtesy shuttle bus area where you can wait for the yellow Centauro Rent

a Car shuttle which comes every 10-15 minutes.

Malaga Maria Zambrano

Come out of the station taking the main exit and turn left. At the first street called

‘Calle Mendivil’ turn left where you will see the Centauro office. Vehicles must be

returned to the Centauro car park.

Seville

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the Terminal building using the

nearest exit. Cross over the road and turn left, after about 250m, having past the

P1 parking area, you will see the long stay P2 parking where you will find the

‘Meeting Point’ sign and where the Centauro Shuttle Bus will be waiting for you.

Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park and then you will be taken to

the Departure Hall by Shuttle Bus.

Seville Santa Justa

Come out of the station taking the ‘Salida Avenida Kansas City’ exit sign, cross the

main road and straight ahead you will find the Centauro Rent a Car office, 150mts

in front of the station.

Barcelona Sants

On arrival at Barcelona Sants please go to the Centauro Rent a Car desk outside the

station. Leave the station via the "Plaça dels Països Catalans" exit. Cross two

pedestrian crossings and bare left to cross another pedestrian crossing with a

traffic light (Calle Viriat). You will find the Centauro office about 15 metres away

on your right hand side. Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park.

Barcelona

Terminal 1: Once in the arrivals hall, walk behind the cafe 'Go Natural' and follow

signs for Parking (P) G . Continue for 100 metres, come outside and at the end of

the walkway use the escalators to go down to the lower level, then on your left you

can wait in the bus area for the yellow Centauro Rent a Car shuttle bus which comes

every 15-20 mins

Terminal 2 A & B: Come out of the building and without crossing, turn right and

pass the taxi rank continuing along you will find the minibus area, where you can

wait for the Centauro Shuttle Bus to take you to our office.

Terminal 2 C: Come out of the building and on your left you will see an elevated

walkway, walk under this, and then after a few meters to your left you will find the

minibus area, where you can wait for the Centauro Shuttle Bus to take you to our

office.

Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park and then you will be taken to

Mallorca

Once you have collected your luggage, go outside of the terminal building and in

front of you is the car park building. Walk towards this and just before you reach

and, on your right, you will find an area which is for minibus parking. The yellow

Centauro Rent a Car shuttle comes every 10-15 mins.

Ibiza

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the Terminal, turn left and keep

on the walkway for about 100 meters until the end of the terminal building and

you will find the parking area (Parking P3) where the Centauro Shuttle Bus will be

waiting for you.

Madrid

Terminal 1: Come out of the terminal building, turn right and continue for about

150 metres until you see the green Hotel Bus Information sign opposite the Left

Luggage Office and wait here for the Centauro Rent a Car shuttle bus that passes

every 15-20 minutes, this will take you to the office situated a few minutes away.

Terminal 2: Once you have collected your luggage, follow the “Bus Connecting”

sign. In the Arrivals Hall, go to your left and follow the “Bus Connecting” sign until

you see the P. Expres sign. Exit the terminal here, once outside cross at the zebra

crossing and, on your right, follow the signs for “Bus Stop EMT Hotels-Agencies”.

Wait here for the Centauro Shuttle Bus which passes every 10-15 minutes, this will

take you to the office situated a few minutes away.

Terminal 4: Once you have collected your luggage, follow the “Bus & Shuttle” sign

to your left, use this exit, cross at the zebra crossing and follow the “Bus Hotel” sign

to the left. Wait here for the Centauro Shuttle Bus which passes every 10-15

minutes, this will take you to the office situated a few minutes away.

Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park and then you will be taken to

the Departure Hall by Shuttle Bus.

Make your way to 'Terminal de Salidas' and come out of the exit 'Ciudad de

Barcelona'. Turn right and continue along the 'Avenida Ciudad de Barcelona' for 5

mins. Our office is located on the Avenida Ciudad de Barcelona nº 5. Vehicles must

be returned to the Centauro Rent a Car parking.

Madrid Chamartín

On arrival to Madrid Chamartín, please go the Centauro Rent a Car desk outside

the station. Come out of the station using the ‘Salida Pio XII’ exit (next to the

chemist) and once outside turn left and continue along the covered walkway and

at the end take the stairs. Continue walking straight until you reach the zebra

crossing. Cross over the road and turn right and continue along until you see the

Centauro Rent a Car parking. Our office is located on floor -1.

Santiago de Compostela

After you have collected your luggage and once in the arrivals hall, use the lift on

your left hand side to go up to the Departures hall on the first floor (Planta 1).

Outside of the terminal and on your left hand side you will find an area which is for

minibus parking and where you can wait for the Centauro Rent a Car Shuttle.

Santiago de Compostela Train Station

Come out of the station using the main exit and continue over the walkway bridge,

cross the road using the zebra crossing and turn left. Continue along the path for

about 40mts until you will see the Centauro Rent a Car office.

Bilbao Airport

After you have collected your luggage and once in the arrivals hall, use the nearest

lift to go up to the Departures hall on the third floor (Planta 3), come out of the

terminal, cross the road using the zebra crossing and you find a parking area and

where you can wait for the Centauro Rent a Car Shuttle.

Bilbao Abando Indalecio Prieto

Come out of the station onto 'Calle Buenos Aires' and turn right. Continue on the

same 'Calle Buenos Aires' street for approx. 500mts until you arrive at the Centauro

Rent a Car office.

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the arrivals hall and turn left

following the instructions to the Parking area P4. When you arrive at the P4 just on

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the arrivals hall and cross the

first zebra crossing right in front of you and here you will find the Centauro

shuttle bus to take you to our offices near to the airport.

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the terminal building, and turn

right. Continue along the walkway for about 50mts and on your right is the 'Go to

coffee & Food'. Here you can wait for the Centauro Rent a Car Shuttle which comes

level. If you arrive at Terminal 1 go upstairs to arrivals and then come out of the

building, turn right and make your way to Terminal 3. In front of Exit/Uscita 1 of

Terminal 3 on the departures level is where you can wait for the yellow Centauro

Rent a Car minibus which comes every 10-15 mins.

Rome Ciampino

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the Terminal and make your

way to parking 5 located on your right hand side. Here you will find the Centauro

Shuttle Bus to take you to the office. Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro

car park and then you will be taken to the Departure Hall by Shuttle Bus.

Milan Malpensa

Terminal 1: Once you have collected your luggage go to Departures on the upper

level. Come out of the terminal building and use the zebra crossing in front of the

exit door nº 16. Right in front of the terminal building you can wait for the yellow

Centauro Rent a Car Shuttle which comes every 10-15 mins.

Terminal 2: Once you have collected your luggage, make your way to the parking

area situated in front of the departure terminal building that you will see on your

right hand side. Here you can wait for the Centauro Rent a Car Shuttle which comes

Bergamo

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the terminal building and turn

left and continue until you reach exit number 4 of the departure terminal and just

opposite in the parking area the Centauro Rent a Car shuttle bus will be waiting to

take you to our office. Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro car park and then

Centauro car park and then you will be taken to the Departure Hall by Shuttle Bus.

Cagliari

Once you have collected your luggage, come out into the arrivals hall and without

leaving the terminal go up to the first floor (departures). On the departures floor,

come out of the terminal and by entrance ‘B’ the Centauro Rent a Car shuttle bus

will collect you to take you to the office. Vehicles must be returned to the Centauro

car park and then you will be taken to the Departure Hall by Shuttle Bus.

Catania

Once you have collected your luggage, exit the building and follow the directions

to terminal C. Keep walking until you see the sign ‘Autonoleggi-Rent a Car’ and then

you will see the signs to the Centauro Rent a Car office. Vehicles must be returned

to the Centauro car park.

Palermo

Once you have collected your luggage go to Departures on the upper level. Come

out of the terminal using the main exit located in front of the police office and cross

the street in front of you using pedestrian crossing. Right in front of the terminal

building you can wait for the yellow Centauro Rent a Car Shuttle which comes every

10-15 mins.

Bologna

After you have collected your luggage and once in the arrivals hall come out of the

terminal building and turn left. Continue walking for approximately 200 metres

(you will see the public bus parking zone and the Monorail to your right). Keep on

the path parallel to the Monorail, then continue walking underneath the Monorail

for approximately 100 metres and you will see the ‘Merci cargo’ building on your

left. Here you can wait for the Centauro Rent a Car Shuttle which comes every 10-

15 mins

Santorini

Once you have collected your luggage, come out of the terminal building using the

main exit and continue along for about 50mts, go up the stairs on your right and

you will come to the ‘Assembly Point where the Centauro shuttle bus will be to

take you to the office.

Rhodes

Once you have collected your luggage, go outside of the terminal building, cross

over the road where you will see the taxi rank and just behind is the minibus

parking area (Fast Car Parking). The yellow Centauro Rent a Car shuttle comes

every 10-15 mins.

Corfu

Once you have collected your luggage come out into the Arrivals Hall where a

Centauro Rent a Car staff member will be waiting to escort you to the Centauro

Rent a Car shuttle bus.

Kefalonia

Once you have collected your luggage come out of the arrivals hall and exit the

Dear Partner,

In order to reduce consultations from your Customer Service Departments to Centauro Customer Service, we have designed a simple

management tool where you can access and view reservation details, reservation status (i.e. confirmed, cancelled or “no show”) and view all

final invoices, charges and refunds.

You can Access our Extranet here: https://partners.centauro.net/

To log in, enter your Agency Code number and your Password. If you have more than one code, you must log in with each one to view the

corresponding reservations.

Once you have access, go to “View bookings”, enter the Voucher number and click “Generate report”. Then you can click on the reservation

number to access all related info.

In order to take maximum advantage of the Extranet, please pass this information to the relevant department members.
