In mid-October, you’ll still experience the same personal

Timed with our 80
th
anniversary celebration this year,
White Eagle is rolling out a sleek new logo, accompanied
by a new tagline. These elements will be seen everywhere
you connect with White Eagle, including branch signage,
ATMs, our letterhead and business cards, a new advertising
campaign, our social media channels on Facebook
and Twitter, informational materials and on our all-new
WhiteEagleCU.com website (see separate story in this issue).
“With the new logo, we felt it was important to retain the
image of the eagle, a symbol of freedom and integrity that
has traditionally played a large role in our branding,” said
Rick Blue, White Eagle Credit Union president. “With this
fresh, clean, bold new logo, we want to celebrate our 80
years of member success and relationships while building
a forward-looking image for our next 80 years.”
According to Dave Stewart, executive creative director for
Associated Integrated Marketing, in an assessment of
White Eagle’s strengths and differentiators, the credit union’s
level of personal service and relationship building with its
members rose to the top. Also, White Eagle’s offering of
the latest online and mobile banking technologies rivals
and exceeds even much larger banks and credit unions.
The following descriptive language better explains the
new tagline and how it was created:

”
You’ll be seeing the new logo and positioning demonstrated
in a new advertising campaign. Ads are now appearing in
newspapers, well-known news and media websites, on
Facebook, outdoor digital LED billboards, and beginning
in early 2016, on cable TV networks.

Christmas Club
Join the Club – Christmas Club, that is. Starting
November 1, with as little as ve dollars, you can start
a Christmas Club account for 2016. It is never too early
to start thinking about saving money for the holidays.
Deposit in the account anytime, up to $3,000. Interest
is compounded daily, but paid annually on October 31
at midnight and will automatically be put into your

International Credit Union Day October 15
Of course we appreciate our members year-round, but
there is a special day we like to celebrate with them
too! If you happen to stop by any branch on October 15
for International Credit Union Day, there may be
something waiting for you. You have a chance to be
a part of a miracle because every time the hashtag
#theCUwayKS is used on Facebook and Twitter
on October 15, the Kansas Credit Union Association
will donate $1 to Children’s Miracle Network
Hospitals (up to $500). At your Credit Union we
support International Credit Union Day’s slogan,

Community Open House on October 16
There is something new and exciting going on at your
credit union. Since you, as a member, are part owner
of the credit union we would love you to join us for
a Community Reveal for our new logo and branding
launch. On Friday, October 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. all

Supporting Our Communities
We proudly have branches in Augusta, El Dorado and Newton. Our members, staff
and their families work, live and play in these communities, so we always try to
contribute to the health, success and vitality of our hometowns. One way we do
this is by donating to nonprot organizations and community groups. We recently
presented the following donations to these very worthy causes:
Partnering with Bright Futures Augusta for School Supply Drive
For over a decade Bright Futures Augusta has helped students in need of school
supplies. In August, we partnered with Bright Futures Augusta for the annual Back
to School Supply Drive. White Eagle was a drop-off location for the community
to help get supplies to students in need. Not only do we participate by being
a drop-off location, but the branches also donate school supplies. This year in
Augusta alone, with the community’s help, Augusta Bright Futures was able to ll
45 backpacks for students in need. Although this program is specic to the City
of Augusta, White Eagle holds school supply drives at its El Dorado and Newton
locations as well.
Making Downtown Augusta a Beautiful Place with Adopt-a-Pot

in the City of Augusta and Downtown Augusta, Inc.’s Fourth Annual
Adopt-a-Pot Contest. This is an annual event where individuals, businesses and
organizations can apply to design, plant and tend to a potted plant downtown.
The plant is then judged at the peak of the season in July and winners are
announced at the rst City Council meeting in August. Scobee and Tolley chose
to donate their winnings of $250 to an organization near and dear to their hearts –
Hickory Hollow Animal Refuge.
Celebrating Back to School in Communities
At White Eagle we are proud to support education and teachers in our communities.
On August 4, Senior Loan Ofcer Ellen Banister served a welcome lunch to
teachers new to USD 402 Augusta School District. On August 13, President Rick
Blue of White Eagle welcomed the new teachers of Butler Community College and
El Dorado Schools. Along with providing goodies for new teacher baskets, Blue
introduced Mr. Bruce Fiscus, a new Butler Community College teacher. Mr. Fiscus
will be teaching math at Butler Community College. This event is put on every
year by the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce. Lastly, on August 11, our Newton
branch welcomed back teachers at Newton High School with a booth and a free
White Eagle bag. We are proud to be a part of our communities and wish teachers
a great new school year.

On July 30, White Eagle employees participated in Miracle Treat Day with
Dairy Queen (DQ

). On a special day every year, local DQ stores participate in
Miracle Treat Day. For every Blizzard

Treat sold, $1 or more is donated by your
local participating DQ store to your local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital

.
According to the Miracle Treat Network website, this year nearly $2 million will be
donated to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals across the United States. At White
Eagle we are proud to be able to participate in any way we can to support our local
