Key Points to Check Before Start-Up
Water pressure to equipment is below 75 psi.
Equipment is installed with water going in
and out of correct ports and unit is in bypass
(Figure 1).
Drain and brine line (softener models only) are
connected properly and secured.

3. After pressing , the Assistance/
Mainten. Name screen is displayed.
Using the keypad, type the
name of the water treatment
professional the homeowner may
call for service (optional). Press
when nished.
5. After pressing , the Assistance/Maint-
en. Interval screen is displayed. Chang-
ing this tells the machine to display a
“call for service” code. The frequency
of the displayed code is determined
by the interval you input (optional).
Press when nished.
4. After pressing , the Assistance/
Mainten. Phone screen is displayed.
Enter the phone number of the
water treatment professional that
the homeowner may call for service
(optional). Press when nished.
6. After Pressing the Home Screen is
displayed. (Figure 4). Push the time
at the top left of the screen to set the
time and day. Push each selection to
change. Push when nished.
a. Push the REGENERATION BUTTON, select NOW, the
screen will change to backwash. Allow the cycle to run for at
least 5 minutes or until the drain water runs clear.
b. Push the REGENERATION BUTTON to advance to the next
cycle: draw. Ensure water is being pulled out of the brine
tank.
c. Push the REGENERATION BUTTON to advance to the next
cycle: rinse. Allow the rinse cycle to run for 5 minutes or until
the drain water runs clear.
d. Push the REGENERATION BUTTON to advance to the next
cycle: rell. Ensure water is owing into the brine tank.
e. Open the white cylinder located inside the brine tank, pull
up on the ow valve to stop the water owing into the brine
tank. Once the water stops, check both brine line ttings for
leaks (one is by the softener head and the other is in the brine
tank).
f. Push the REGENERATION BUTTON to return to the home
screen.
g. Add salt to the brine tank.
8. Make sure both bypass valves are open
(Figure 5).
9. Your system is now in service. Please con-

Quick Start Set-Up Procedures
With the unit in bypass, turn the incoming feed to
open, allowing the tank to ll slowly (Figure 2).
1. Pour approximately 5 gallons of water directly
into the brine tank.
2. After plugging in the unit (Figure 3), the format
screen is displayed: language, units and hardness
are all preset, press the to move onto the next
screen.
