PURPOSE
The Graduate Certificate qualifies individuals who apply a body of knowledge in a range of contexts to undertake professional/highly skilled work
and as a pathway for further learning
KNOWLEDGE
Graduates of a Graduate Certificate will
have specialised knowled
ge within a
systematic and coherent body of
knowledge that may include the
acquisition and application of knowledge
and skills in a new or existing discipline or
professional area
Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Personal Injury Management will have:
• specialised knowledge of recent developments in the field of personal injury management
including the related fields of health management and disabilities management
• a body of knowledge that includes an understanding of business, financial, claims and injury
management concepts
• specialised knowledge of contemporary theories and professional practices in the personal injury
SKILLS
Graduates of a Graduate Certificate will
have:
• cognitive skills to review, analyse,
consolidate and synthesise
knowledge and identify and provide
solutions to complex problems
• cognitive skills to think critically and to
generate and evaluate complex ideas
• specialised technical and creative
skills in a field of highly skilled and/or
professional practice
• communication skills to demonstrate
an understanding of theoretical

Graduates of the Graduate Certificate in Personal Injury Management will have:
• cognitive skills to analyse and propose solutions for complex problems

• specialised technical and creative skills in rehabilitation management, negotiation and dispute
resolution, advanced management skills in projects relating to heath management, disabilities
management, and more broadly to personal injury management
• communications skills to work in collaborative team projects to share knowledge, build
relationships and create lasting networks across the personal injury management sector
• communication skills to demonstrate effective interpersonal, oral and written communication
skills to share and transfer complex knowledge ideas and theories to a variety of audiences in the
personal injury management field.
