Wee Sandy Creek - Length, 14.4 km; suggested time, 10 hours;
elevation change, 1,370 m. Trail not maintained beyond 1

(4.5 km from trailhead). Trail starts on west shore of Slocan Lake at
Wee Sandy Creek. Features include: Wee Sandy Lake,; enjoyable
historic trail for first 2 km with views of goat bluffs at entrance to valley
on north side; old trappers' cabins at 5.8 km and 10.5 km. Also at 10.5
km is Iron Creek Cabin, a shelter with a wood stove. Rugged trail
beyond 3 km. Bridges out above 1

Sharp Creek - Length 8 km; suggested time, 6 hrs; elevation change
1,380 m. Trail begins on west shore of Slocan Lake immediately north
of Sharp Creek and follows creek to ruins of old cabin at the 1,920 m
level. The trail is steep although its condition is generally good. Usual
campsite is 1.8 km and 240 m elevation gain beyond trail end.
Nemo Creek

Nemo Creek - Length 4 km; suggested time, 4 hours; elevation change
905 m. Trail starts 50 m north of Nemo Creek and leads along the
creek, an easy or moderate hike. Lower Nemo Falls on first section,
the Rock Castles at 3.4 km and an old trapper's cabin at 4 km are all
interesting features well within the range of an easy day trip.

Excellent trail along Slocan Lake, beautiful views and a multitude of
swimming spots, fantastic day hike 7.5 km, suggested time 2.5 hours.
Please respect Private Property at Pebble Beach.

Beatrice Lake - Length 12.5 km; suggested time 8 hours; elevation
change 985 m. Two trailheads. The best trail starts just south of Evans
Creek at a rockbound cove and connects with both the shoreline trail to
Slocan and the main Beatrice Lake trail across the Evans Creek bridge.
Emerald Lake (Little Cahill) is a good day hike destination. 4 tent pads
@ Emerald Lake; 6 tent pads @ Cahill Lake; no camping @ Beatrice
Lake. Dogs on leash permitted.

Trail cleared July 25, 2023 Drinnon Pass - Length 3.5 km; suggested time 2 hours; elevation
change 435 m. Trail begins at end of Hoder Creek logging road spur
and leads to Drinnon Pass. Gwillim Lakes are 2.2 km; 1.5 hours and a
225 m elevation gain beyond the pass. Note: Open fires and pets are
not allowed in this trail corridor. 4 tent pads @ Drinnon Lk; 6 tent
pads @ Wicca Lk; 13 tent pads @ Gwillim Lks

Short (~3.5km) spectacular trail with awe-inspiring views
; ~800m
elevation gain. Excellent day hike. Access to climbing destination with
base camp on South Gimli Ridge outside Mulvey Basin. Note: Open
fires and pets are not allowed in this trail corridor.

the quality of the moorage
considering that Slocan Lake
is prone to frequent and
violent wind squalls.
Use food caches provided to
reduce wildlife problems.
Tent pads, outhouse, food caches at 9 beach campgrounds. Public
boat launches at Slocan City, Silverton, and New Denver.

New signage on trail
A short 3.7km hike along the lakeside connecting Sharp Creek and
Wee Sandy beach campsites. Minimal elevation changes along the
lake trail. Kiosks provide historical industrial information. An old sunken
barge and viewpoint can be found along the trail.
Please do not camp in any alpine meadow as the vegetation is extremely susceptible to damage.
DOGS ALLOWED ON SLOCAN LAKE SHORE & THE TRAIL TO CAHILL & BEATRICE LAKES ONLY & MUST BE
KEPT ON A LEASH. DOGS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN ANY OTHER BACKCOUNTRY AREAS
