DAY 1 Arrive in Massachusetts: Arrive in Boston today and
transfer to your hotel. Meet your Tour Manager in the lobby at
6:00 p.m. for dining suggestions.
DAY 2 The Maine Coast and Lobster Cruise: Enjoy a get-
acquainted breakfast at the hotel this morning. Board the
waiting motorcoach and depart for coastal Maine. Travel to
Portland, Maine’s largest city, where a local guide conducts a
tour of the city including the waterfront, the Eastern and West-
ern Promenade, the Longfellow Home and Saco Bay. Then,
travel to Perkin’s Cove where you will board the Finest-kind
Lobster Pulling Cruise to learn about Maine lobster fishing.
Make a stop at Stonewall Kitchens who produces delicious
Maine Blueberry preserves and many other wonderful jams and
jellies followed by a quick photo stop at the Nubble Lighthouse,
one of the most photographed lighthouses in Maine. Tonight, a
delicious Maine Lobster dinner is served at the famous Foster
Lobster Bakes. Meals: B, D
DAY 3 Quechee Gorge and Billings Farm: After your included
breakfast at the hotel, you will say good-bye to coastal Maine
and make your way to the Green Mountains of Vermont. The
first stop today is at Quechee Gorge Village where you can visit
the Cabot Cheese Annex followed by lunch served at a local
restaurant. This afternoon, visit the historic Billings Farm and
Museum to learn the history of a Vermont hillside dairy farm.
While at the farm you will enjoy a butter or cheese making
demonstration. Later, continue to your Rutland hotel where
you check in for the next two evenings. Dinner is included this
evening at a local restaurant featuring locally grown and raised
products. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 4 Vermont Sweets and Treats: Today is spent touring in
Vermont. Begin the day in Montpelier, Vermont’s State Capital,
where you will visit the Morse Sugar Farm for a talk on maple
sugaring and a taste of their traditional sugar-on-snow. Lunch
and shopping is on your own in Montpelier. This afternoon,
continue to the Cold Hollow Cider Mill to see the production of
their delicious cider and sample many of their fine apple products.
No visit to Vermont is complete without a stop at Ben & Jerry’s
Ice Cream Factory for a tasting. Tonight, another wonderful
dinner is included at a local restaurant. Meals: B, D
DAY 5 Yankee Candle and Sturbridge Village Colonial
Cooking Demonstration: Depart Vermont for the small town of
Deerfield, Massachusetts. Stop at Yankee Candle Factory for a

featuring a taste of Four New England States

little shopping and a morning break. Then visit historic
Sturbridge Village. Here, you will enjoy a special Colonial
Cooking demonstration. Enjoy a lunch in the Bullard
Tavern area. Later, continue to the Middletown/Newport,
Rhode Island area, and check into your hotel for the next two
evenings. Tonight, a dinner of locally raised foods is included
at the hotel. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 6 Newport’s Oysters and Wines: Enjoy a hearty
breakfast before a local guide conducts a narrated tour
of Newport including the downtown area, Fort Adams and
Narragansetts Bay. You will also see the “homes of the Elite 400”
along beautiful Bellevue Avenue. Next, travel to the Matunuck
Oyster Farm where you will enjoy a program on oyster farming
in Rhode Island followed by a delicious lunch featuring local
seafood. You will conclude the day with a visit to Greenvale
Vineyards where you will enjoy a guided tour and tasting of their
wonderful wines. Tonight, your Tour Manager hosts a special
farewell dinner. Meals: B, L, D
DAY 7 Depart for Home: A hearty farewell breakfast is served
before boarding the motorcoach for a group transfer to Boston
Logan Airport for flights out after 12:00 p.m. Meal: B
Travelers Protection Plan (TPP) – $349 per person (optional)
This nonrefundable fee waives all cancellation fees when we are notified of cancellation one day
before the tour departs. If you must leave the tour early due to personal illness, illness or death of
a member of your immediate family, TPP guarantees full refund for any unused services after the
departure of the tour. Other benefits include medical expenses for illness and injury, emergency
transportation, 24 hour hot line, and lost or stolen baggage assistance. Return air transportation
is included ONLY if your air tickets were provided by Mayflower Cruises & Tours. If you purchase
the optional Travelers Protection Plan (TPP), you will be refunded all payments, including deposit
amount, less the TPP premium amount.
Cancellation Charges Without Traveler’s Protection Plan (TPP)
• 61 days or more: Deposit Amount
• 60 to 31 days prior: 20% of tour cost
• 30 to 15 days prior: 30% of tour cost
• 14 to 1 day prior: 40% of tour cost
• Day of departure or early departure from tour: 100% of tour cost
• No refund on unused portions of the tour
Exclusions: Mayflower Cruises & Tours reserves the right to alter its refund and cancellation policy
when a substantial amount of cancellation or postponement of travel is attributable to: conditions
resulting from an act of God, natural or man-made disaster, fire, government action, civil disorder,
war, hostilities between nations, or unavailability of transportation through no fault of Mayflower
Cruises & Tours.
