Tuesday, November 19th (6pm-8pm)
Location: GHS Library
Cost: $40 per person
This is a certified Adult/Child/Infant CPR & AED class for anyone 11 years+ and includes a two year certificate & unlimited
online access to the handbook. This class is taught by an experienced cardiology instructor in a relaxed environment and
is very easy to learn. Instructor: Deb Gutzman *Register by November 12th

DNR Snowmobile Safety
Saturday & Sunday, November 2nd & 3rd (8:30am-12:30pm)
Location: GHS Library, Cost: $10 per person
This 2-day class is WI DNR approved and is for students 11 years and older. Students should be dressed to be outside for
approximately 15 minutes during the first class to look at and talk about a snowmobile demo. All participants must register
through Community Ed, complete the DNR application form and have a DNR Customer ID in order to secure their spot.

Dazzling Daughter Dance
Saturday, October 19th (6:30pm-8:00pm)
Location: Grantsburg Middle School
Cost: $10 per person attending
All girls (ages 4-18) and their father/father figures are invited to attend our Dazzling Daughter Dance! This is a
spectacular night where you will enjoy dancing, a dessert table and memories that will last a lifetime. This year's theme
will be "A Night Under the Stars.” We suggest semi formal/formal attire be worn. Register by October 11th
Annual Craft & Gift Fair
Saturday, November 23rd (9:00am-1:00pm)
Location: Grantsburg Middle School
We are excited to host our Annual Craft & Gift Fair! This the perfect time to pick up your holiday décor and gifts. We will have
a variety of vendors offering jewelry, clothing, food, handmade goods and much more. If you are interested in being a
vendor, please register online by November 3rd. Vendor booths are available for $40 for a 10x10 space. More vendor info is
available online.
Tuesdays, October 1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd (7:00pm-8:00pm)
Location: GES
Cost: $50 per person
Would you like to learn to knit? Here’s your chance!! In this class we will work on the basics of knitting-casting on the knit
stitch and binding off. At the end of our class you will have a dishcloth to take home and a great new skill. All class
supplies are provided and included in the class fee. Instructor: Karen Paap

Cost: $55 per person (age 12+) or adult/child team (child age 6-11)
Register as an individual (age 12+) OR as an adult/child team (child age 6-11). Each individual registration receives 8 baked
sugar cookies, colored and bagged icing, a scribe tool, templates, a box to take home their treats, and of course Zoe's recipes
for both the sugar cookies and royal icing. You will move step-by-step through the decorating process with the instructor
showing you in real time and answering your questions. The goal is for you to take what you learn with you as a foundation for

Cost: $38 (includes all class supplies)
In this class you will select & assemble your own custom made wood sign using materials to tailor it to your home. You will
get the full “do it yourself” experience and will leave with a professional looking sign. Come alone or bring a group of friends.
All supplies will be provided and are included in the class fee. (You will be contacted about your design and color selections

Joy in Chinese Cooking
Thursday, October 24th (6:00pm-8:00pm)
Location: GHS Face Room
Cost: $55 per person (includes all class supplies)
In this class, Chef Peter H Kwong will share his passion for cooking with you. He will show you how to make delicious and
simple dishes right in your own kitchen. His recipes are simple and easy to follow and so are the cooking procedures. You
will learn how to cook at home and have fun learning all the simple steps. Come join him for an evening of fun. All
ingredients are included in the class fee. Instructor: Peter H. Kwong
Pickleball-Advanced
Mondays (5:00pm-6:00pm) Location: GES Gym Cost: $30 per person/per session
Session 1: October 7th, 14th, 21st & 28th
Session 2: November 11th, 18th, 25th & December 2nd
Come and experience this wild and addictive cardio dance class. This is a fiercely fun dance fitness workout based on
pop and hip hop music. Expect to sweat and burn 400-600 calories per hour. All dance and fitness abilities welcome.
Wear workout clothes, gym shoes and bring a water bottle. Instructor: Nicole Olthafer

Wednesdays (7:00pm-8:00pm) Location: GES Gym Cost: $35 per person/per session
Session 1: October 2nd, 9th, 16th & 23rd

This yoga class is a gentle hatha/vinyasa style yoga that follows the YogaFit philosophy of yoga being accessible for
everybody at any age. The class is 60 minutes where we work on a variety of poses to help with mobility, strength, balance,
and centering of the mind. Bring your own yoga mat and water bottle. Instructor: Tiffany Johnson

This 2-day class is WI DNR approved and is for students 11 years and older. Registration for this course has 3-parts.

Textured Painting
Thursday, November 14th (6:00pm-7:30pm)
Location: GHS Face Room
Cost: $30 per person (includes all class supplies)
Expand your world with painting and turn yourself into an artist. In this class you will create a painting of a Santa Gnome on
an 11x14 canvas. The fur on the hat and beard will be created using plastic spoons and you can add wooden letters with
the words “Believe” or “Merry Christmas.” The instructor will walk you through and help you along the way. All materials
are covered in the class fee. Minimum of 6 people are needed to hold this class. Instructor: Erika Swanson from

Come learn all the ins and outs of Medicare! Whether you have had Medicare for a while or it's fast approaching -
there is always more to learn. This is an educational session to give you the power to take control of your healthcare
decisions and be comfortable in the storm of misinformation regarding Medicare options. Instructor: Deanna Coonradt

A Scandinavian tradition for the Holidays. In this 2 night class, you will cook and rice the potatoes on the first night and
learn how to make lefse the following night. Please bring a tray on the last night to take your lefse home on.

Cost: $5 per person/per day
Pickleball Advanced is for experienced pickleball players who are interested in competitive, hard-hitting games. Pickleball
Open Play means that all players, of any skill level are invited to play on the courts. Bring your paddle and come play
against other individuals who are at the same skill level. Must be 18 years of age to participate.
ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER!!!

Saturdays, October 5th to April 26th (9:00am-11:00am) Location: GES Gym
Cost: $5 per person/per day
Open play means that all players, of any skill level, are invited to play on the courts. You don’t have to worry about
finding three other people, you just need to show up with a paddle in hand. If you love sports, be prepared because this
is a highly addictive game. Must be 18 years of age to participate. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER!!!

Choose one of the methods below to sign-up for one of our opportunities. Registrations will not be finalized until payment has been
received. All instructors have been approved and more information can be given on each class instructor by contacting our office.

Inclement Weather: If school is closed due to inclement weather or holiday/closure day, all Community Education opportunities will be
canceled. If you are unsure if an opportunity is canceled, please check the Grantsburg School District website.
General Refund Policy: The decision to run or cancel a class is often based on the number of registrations/payments. Refunds will
not be issued to those who drop from an opportunity or for trips or classes where transportation or materials have been purchased. If
an opportunity reaches capacity or Community Education cancels or re-schedules a class/trip/event, you are eligible to receive a full
refund.
